A new journey!
After much talk, I finally did it. Did what you ask? I finally joined a gym. I decided that I wanted to loose 40 pounds before I graduate college and I know its going to take more than a weight watchers diet to accomplish that. The first 30 lbs will probably come off pretty easy, I usually vary between my current weight and about 30 lbs lighter when I'm doing weight watchers. Anywho, today I went to a nearby gym and worked out. I did 1 hour of cardio. I wanted to give up about 20 minutes through the first machine, which was the elliptical, but I kept pushing on. Then I got on the bike...which at first I hated. I almost quit after about 10 minutes on it but I knew that if I quit I would probably be mad at myself. I ended up doing 30 minutes on each machine. I actually feel relatively good, except for the little cough I always get when I do any type of heavy cardio. I may not be able to walk tomorrow, but that is another story. I plan to be there in the morning to do the same thing. Maybe once I build up my endurance on the cardio machines, I will work in some weight training. Until then though, I plan to do at least 1 hour of cardio 5 days a week, but probably 6.
